What to Expect
It is never easy to visit a new church for the first time, so we want to be as helpful as we can to make your experience a good one.
We have a large parking lot; come 15 minutes early for a good spot. We are located at the main intersection of Neilson & Sheppard; there are 4 TTC bus stops: on Neilson Road, North & South; and Sheppard Ave., East & West.
We want you to feel comfortable. Some people dress up, and some choose to dress down. Come the way that you feel most comfortable.
We have live upbeat worship with guitars, drums -the works, as well as intimate songs of worship.
Following the worship, we have a time of prayer. An invitation will be made to those who wish to come forward, others will choose to remain in their pews, as one of the Pastors leads in prayer.
Each week we worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings. Many will bring their gifts to the front of the sanctuary while we sing, and place it in the baskets provided. Others will wait until later on in the service when the ushers pass the buckets in each pew. If you would like a receipt for your giving, please use an envelope in front of you and write your name & address. We will mail your receipt at the end of the year or at any time upon request.
In every service you will hear a relevant, straightforward message that is based on Scripture and is designed to be helpful in your everyday life. These messages will help you develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and provide a strong biblical foundation for your life.
Communion (or the Lord’s Supper)
We celebrate communion together the first Sunday of every month except for the month of December. Anyone who has made the decision to follow Jesus Christ is welcome to take part.
After the Service
As a guest, you’ll be asked to fill out a card during the service, which can be filled out and dropped off at the Guest Service table in the gymnasium. Stop by the gym and have a cup of coffee as well while you're with us.
Pick Up Your Kids
Make sure that you have the security tags that nursery and children’s workers gave you when you dropped your kids off so that we can ensure your children’s safety. Please pick up your children promptly following the service.
We all love to feel ‘cared for’ and MCA accomplishes this with Care Groups; 10 to 12 people getting to know each other on a deeper level than what is possible during a Sunday service. There are many Care Groups already in operation; probably one in your neighbourhood. For more information, call Pastor Sam Vijayasenan @416.284.4853, ext.279 and find the best one for you to join.
If you would like to search for a Care Group that best suits you needs, please check out our Care Group Finder. Here you will be able to search through the various groups that are available here at MCA.
